Windows 95/98 - Creating a Connection

1. On your Windows desktop, double click on the My Computer icon.
2. When the My Computer window opens, double click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.

   

3. The Dial-Up Networking window opens. Double click on the Make New Connection icon.

   

4. The Make New Connection window opens.
5. Enter PromiseLink in the Type a name for the computer you are dialing entry box.
6. Click on the down arrow to select the modem you are using for your connection.

   

7. Click on the Next > button to continue.
8. In the Telephone number entry box, enter your PromiseLink dial-up number.
9. In the Country Code item, click on the down arrow and select United States of America(1) from the list.
10. Click on the Next > button to continue.

    

11. Click on the Finish button to continue.
12. You will be brought back to the Dial-Up Networking window, there should be one additional icon named PromiseLink in the folder.
